Healing Properties:

Marigold is one of the premiere herbs for the skin. 

It is strongly astringent, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. Thus it can be used to cleanse any damaged skin, minor scrapings, ulcers or weeping wounds. 

Calendula is commonly used to treat skin conditions including excema, psoriasis, acne, dermatitis and rashes. It is also used in treating burns and cuts.

It is even reputed to have anti-cancer properties, which makes it useful as a compress on lymphatic nodes or cancerous tissue, especially when simultaneously taken as a tea. Internally, it can be used to stimulate liver and gallbladder, alleviate nausea and indigestion, and help in cases of stomach ulcers.
